CBIZ Insurance Services, Inc. is the property & casualty division of CBIZ, and we’re looking for an experienced, dedicated Account Manager to join our expanding Programs Division team. The CBIZ Programs Division provides specialty insurance tailor-made for specific industries and other unique coverage needs of business owners. 

The Account Manager would be responsible for the day-to-day execution of client services administration and the delivery of client services as described below.  The Account Manager serves as an active participant of the client services team focused on client retention.

Duties for this position include: 

  • Provide service support to an assigned block of clients
  • Resolve the most complex customer service problems directly
  • Support senior level team members
  • Day to day contact for client service needs 
  • Escalate client concerns when appropriate
  • Maintain data integrity and quality with applicable software on a timely basis
  • Prepare applications, market accounts to carriers and negotiate pricing, terms & conditions
  • Must be able to easily learn new technology and be comfortable with paperless environment
  • Establish and preserve a solid business rapport with clients and vendors
  • Generate client interest in additional lines of coverage
  • Coach and assist less tenured client services staff
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications required for this position include: 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 years retail agency insurance experience 
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Property & Casualty licensed. Surplus Lines license is required but can be obtained after hire
  • Proficient in Microsoft software: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Able to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Travel based on client and business needs
