A CBIZ Associate Account Manager is learning to become responsible for the day to day execution of client services administration and risk management for an assigned block of clients.  Training includes exposure to daily processing requirements, observation of client interaction, mastering system documentation requirements, becoming comfortable with various carriers, products in multiple states and supporting senior team leaders in the execution of exceptional service. In this important role, the Associate Account Manager has direct contact with our clients, addressing customer service problems, along with maintaining data integrity and quality.  This position can sit out of our Kansas City or St. Joseph MO office. 

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Attend substantive meetings including: internal, client facing, industry and insurance company meetings
  • Learn through continuing education with emphasis on obtaining industry designations
  • Establish and preserve a solid business rapport with clients and vendors as primary point of contact
  • Provide administrative support to an assigned block of clients as well as administrative support for additional service team members
  • Research, communicate and accurately resolve customer service problems directly
  • Escalate client concerns when appropriate
  • Maintain data integrity and quality with any applicable software on a timely basis
  • All other duties as  reasonably assigned

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or two years of experience on a specialized subject matter
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Effective customer service skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
