To explore the principles of New Jersey’s Medicaid and Charity Care Programs and assist management with tasks to implement these principles in relation to how it affects Hospital Finance

CBIZ is looking for an intern interested in exploring the principles of New Jersey’s Medicaid and Charity Care Programs and assist management with tasks to implement these principles in relation to how it affects Hospital Finance. The student filling this position will handled a wide range of important duties.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist uninsured individuals to obtain insurance coverage through Medicaid or Charity Care programs
  • Assist Medicaid team in completing forms and putting together Medicaid applications to submit for approval to the local Board of Social Services.
  • Assist in managing the Presumptive-Eligibility project which entails following up with patients on PE denials and submitting backup Charity Care applications for true Medicaid denials.
  • Assist Medicaid team with running eligibility checks for Medicaid approved cases

Requirements

Applicants should be a Health Care policy, Social Service or related major with proficiency in Microsoft applications and web-based applications. Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills are all essential to this position. Must be able to work in a team environment.
