CBIZ has an immediate opening for a full-time Wellness Coordinator with a key client account. This position is the primary representative on-site at a client organization, managing their initiatives to achieve a 'culture of wellness' among employees by implementing and promoting a comprehensive wellness program in alignment with the goals and objectives of the organization. The client organization has multiple locations across the southeast United States with headquarters in Atlanta, GA, and has made a significant investment in wellness resources for its employees and their families. The client is in its fifth year of offering a comprehensive wellness program wherein the Wellness Coordinator position is critical to engaging a Wellness Committee and collaborating with multiple stakeholders and client partners to administer a successful program and measure its impact on the client's population health.

Primary responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Plans and implements creative approaches to employee participation and engagement to improve employee health and wellbeing and reduce high risk behaviors and health risk factors.
  • Participates in initializing and sustaining the key elements of a successful wellness initiative.
  • Responsible for the design, configuration and use of the organization's wellness portal, with a focus on employee engagement around healthy lifestyles.
  • Develops the annual tactical calendar/programming plan that is aligned with the objectives of the wellness program and is responsible for executing the same.
  • Reviews and analyzes an annual employee needs and interests survey and develops action oriented recommendations, and implements the same upon approval by the organization.
  • Reviews and analyzes health risk and biometric data and develops action oriented recommendations.
  • Develops a robust communication plan to distribute wellness information, including goals, activities, and methods of promotion.
  • Engages with employees on a regular basis to promote, encourage and support healthy lifestyle behaviors, and refers them to organization and community resources.
  • Provides consistent updates and seeks input from the organization, CBIZ consultants and vendors on overall wellness direction, strategy, programming, etc. Conducts wellness planning and activities in consultation with/as approved by the organization to reach employees, including targeted segments of the population.
  • Maintains the organization's annual wellness scorecard and dashboard and is held accountable to those results.

Minimum Qualifications Required: 

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred with an emphasis in a health-related area. Master’s level education is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health related field and/or wellness, 5 or more years of experience preferred
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise.
  • Work experience includes a professional environment, with an understanding of population health management and behavior change models.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing programs that match employee needs, lifestyles and interests. Experience coordinating employee wellness programs in government and/or educational institutions are desirable.
  • Experience working in a team environment as a team leader/facilitator/influencer.
  • Ability to be a role model/mentor/health coach for health and wellness to others.
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
